Ongoing research projects
Most of Gesa Weyhenmeyer's research is carried out within the Global Lake Ecological Observatory Network with a large variety of ongoing global projects on assessing the rapid changes of lake ecosystems around the world; more information is available here Apart from GLEON projects, she presently leads research on ecosystem metabolism as well as on ice quantity and quality changes in lakes around the world with an assessment of consequences for the achievement of several global sustainable development goals (Pi; PhD student Ellinor Jakobsson and postdoc Kevin Vikström; financed by the Swedish Research Council and FORMAS); since 2021.
